HOT ASPHALT MIXING PLANTS
COLAS Slovakia has asphalt mixing plants all over Slovakia, six modern AMMANN installations and three TELOMAT plants, all equipped with automated process control systems and conforming to the strict quality and environmental requirements.
Process:
1 Bituminous pavement is constructed using high-performance asphalt pavers equipped with a levelling system.
2 Compaction of layers is done using vibration and static roller compactors equipped with a substrate cutter.
3 For better bond between the structural layers, a tack coat is sprayed by a high-pressure distributor truck.
- For better quality products, performance additives are used to increase adhesion and improve workability. All HAMPs have special dosing equipment for adding additive liquids.
- For SMA and PA asphalt mixes, granular formulation is added with a special dosing dispenser.
- For mastic asphalt, an additive is used to improve the product workability on site.

Bituminous mixes for roads, traffic class I – VI include the following products:
- Asphalt concrete (AC 4, AC 8, AC 11, AC 16) wear course, class I or II
- Asphalt concrete (AC 16, AC 22) binder course, class I or II
- Asphalt concrete (AC 16, AC 22) base course, class I or II
- Asphalt concretes, coarse-graded and very coarse-graded, modified
- Very thin bituminous concrete (BBTM) Rugosoft
- Stone mastic asphalt (SMA 8, SMA 11)
- Warm asphalt mix foam and/or hot mixes manufactured with bitumen containing Chemoran CWM special additives
- Mastic asphalt (MA 4, MA 8, MA 11, MA 16)
- Porous asphalt Coldrain (PA 8, PA 11)
- Storable cold asphalt mix Tatracol (25 kg/ bag)
- Coloured asphalt concretes
We also offer tack coat application alone, and sell bitumen emulsion (Trebejov HAMP).
