For the Košice Self-Governing Region (KSK), we are reconstructing road II/547, which is part of the main connection between the regional capital of Košice and the district town of Spišská Nová Ves. This involves repairing the 10.5-kilometer section between Veľký Folkmar and Spišské Vlachy.
The road surface on the section in question is damaged, with numerous potholes, deformations, cracks, and local network breakdowns. The existing bus stops have no bus lanes or platforms, and in some sections there are no guardrails.
The project includes the reconstruction of the road surface, the construction of bus lanes for four bus stops (Miklipark – Veľký Folkmar, Jaklovce, Pri hydinárni – Margecany, Kolinovce), including lighting for pedestrian crossings, modification of the intersection at the turn-off to the village of Kojšov, and reconstruction of the intersection in the town of Krompachy. The road repair will also affect the villages of Kluknava and Richnava.
In 2019, the construction of a retaining wall at the bus stop in Jaklovce, the reconstruction of road culverts in Spišské Vlachy and Jaklovce, the construction of the Miklipark bus stop in Veľký Folkmar, repair of the road in the built-up area of Krompachy, lighting of the pedestrian crossing in Kolinovce, and repair of part of the road. Other works will be carried out in the upcoming construction season.
